What is the Ambassador Program?

A grassroots network which will consist of nurse practitioners who will serve as the official MICNP liaison to their state representative or senator.

 

Why have an Ambassador Program?

The Legislative Ambassador Program will be the cornerstone of MICNP’s advocacy efforts and will help us build relationships with legislators so that we can continue to advance our legislative agenda for nurse practitioners in Michigan.

 

Qualifications to be an Ambassador:

Michigan Resident

Constituent of your Representative and/or Senator

MICNP Member

APRN Certification

Licensed in Michigan (In good standing)

Registered Voter (Regularly votes)

 

Each Legislative Ambassador will have 3-4 targeted assignments over the course of the year, including coordinating a visit in the district with their legislator and attending various local legislative events on MICNP’s behalf.  (Inviting to chapter meetings, other duties as assigned) The ambassador is the key legislative communicator to their chapter.  An ambassador will serve for one year.
