Metro Chapter First Annual Outstanding Metro Chapter NP Award - Angela Donovan:
Congratulations to Angela Donovan on being selected as the first recipient of the Metro Chapter Outstanding NP Award! Angela currently is employed as Chief Nurse Practitioner, General Surgery/SICU/Transplant at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. Angela is also an active instructor for both undergraduate and graduate students at Madonna University and Wayne State University. Angela has been a very active member of the Metro Chapter for the past 10 years. She served as President of the Metro Chapter in 2009 & 2010 and is currently the Education Coordinator for the Metro Chapter. Angela is also Co-Chair for the Poster Committee for the MICNP State Conference. Angela has served as an excellent mentor to countless NPs at Beaumont and within the MICNP organization. She is highly respected by her physician peers, colleagues, and employees. Angela was honored by the Metro Chapter at their November meeting.
Metro Chapter 2013 Needs Assessment Survey Results
The Metro Chapter will be hosting a dinner for the Homeless at Hope Warming Center on Saturday, April 26 from approximately 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm. We are in need of approximately 15+ volunteers for the following activities:
oFood preparation, serving, and clean up (6 - 8 volunteers)
oAssistance with Intake of Guests (4 volunteers)
oTriage and Provide Health Care/Advice to Guests (4 volunteers)

2013 Annual Homeless Donation: A donation of 50 $10 McDonald's gift cards were given for Christmas presents to the homeless at Hope Warming Center in Pontiac.
