Chapter Officer Bios:
Jessica Ciaramella is the Wayne State University MICNP student chapter President. She is in her second year in the acute care DNP program. She received her BSN from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY. Her first Bachelors degree is in Bio-Medical Science from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY where she also played college Division 3 hockey for a year. She currently works at Henry Ford Hospital on the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. At Henry Ford she is involved in the Unit Council to aid in making improvements for the unit.
Amanda Atchoo is the Vice President for the Wayne State University student chapter of MICNP. She is a first year doctoral student at WSU in the primary care DNP program with a focus on women's health. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at University of Detroit Mercy in 2011 and was an active member of the Student Nurses Association at UDM. Amanda currently works as a Labor and Delivery and Postpartum nurse at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills.
Sariem Am is the Treasurer for the Wayne State University student chapter of MICNP. She is a 2nd year doctoral student in the Dual Title DNP/Infant Mental Health Program at Wayne State University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BScN) in 2009 from York University in Toronto, Canada. Sariem is currently employed as a nurse in both the Canadian and American health care systems. In Windsor, she works on a continuing care unit at Windsor Regional Hospital- Malden Park Campus, and in Detroit, she is a float nurse at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
Sarah Jarvis is the DNP Membership Chair for the Wayne State University student chapter of MICNP. She is in her second year of study at in the primary care DNP program. Sarah is a second-career nurse, following a career in geology and paleontology. She received her BSN from the University of Michigan in 2007. She currently works on the adult Bone Marrow Transplant unit at the University of Michigan Health System.
